Saša Špiranec, a distinguished wine expert and judge at the Decanter World Wine Awards, declares Lipanović wines the best on the island of Vis.
Lipanović winery, as expected, made it to the top of the list of the most influential Vis winemakers, listed in the July edition of Croatian magazine Dobra hrana. Our Cipidrag and Vugava Paršurica from the year 2016 were the best rated among all wines tasted on Vis.
We are flattered that our wines are praised by one of the most prominent Croatian wine experts. Saša is the author of Vinski putevi: vodič kroz vinarije i vina Hrvatske (Wine roads: a guide to wineries and wines of Croatia), considered by many as the most detailed overview of the Croatian wine scene, and co-founder of the Vinolab oenological laboratory, which conducts laboratory analysis of wine in addition to consulting services.
His expertise is recognized even beyond the borders of Croatia as he has been a judge at the Decanter World Wine Awards since 2020.
